Generic size charts are going away

Amazon announced yesterday via Seller Central that generic size charts for clothing (or anything, really) are being pulled from all listings. In their place, Amazon is recommending brand owners upload their own size charts (and explains how to do so,  here).

If you’re an Amazon seller and not the brand owner, unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do. Uploading size charts is an action restricted to brand owners only. Frankly, having this restriction is a good thing; the amount of 3rd-party-seller-generated listings with half-baked information about a product is substantial; the last thing buyers need is potentially massively incorrect information. The forums seem to disagree, but like all topics, Seller Central forums are probably the last place to have a smart, civilized discussion about anything Amazon does.
