The USPS filed with the Postal Regulatory Commission their intent to create a loyalty program for Click-n-Ship customers. This program would return a credit based on how much the shipper spends:
- Basic: $40 credit after spending $500
- Silver ($10k spending): $50 credit after $500
- Gold ($20k spending): shipper qualifies for commercial rates
I’m not entirely sure who this is targeted at. Shippers that use services like Pirate Ship, Shippo, etc., already have access to commercial rates for as little as $0/month. Getting a $40 credit on $500 of shipping equates to 8%, A far cry from the difference between commercial and retail rates as they stand today.
